The Adolescent Parenting Program (APP) involves a partnership between the PEERS Family Development Center, the Onslow County Department of Social Services, and the Onslow County Partnership for Children making an effort to initiate early intervention strategies with adolescent parents. The core of the program is intensive family centered services aimed at preventing further pregnancies, improving skills, building confidence and preparing for employment. APP participants are first time adolescent parents 19 years of age and younger regardless of race or religion.
