PEERS is a program designed for Parents to offer Education, Empathy, Rapport and Support.  All services at PEERS are for the prevention of primary, secondary and tertiary child maltreatment through community collaboration and partnerships.  The PEERS program began in 1977 to offer parent education to the residents of Onslow County and surrounding areas and to extend short term support and empathy to parents and couples who are in immediate need of assistance in their role as parents.  PEERS also provides referrals to other services available in the Onslow County area upon request.
